Professional Master Programme

Course Structure

The post-graduation has a total of 60 ECTS. Each of the Modules, from 1 to 8 will address different topics within a common structure. Each Module will be coordinated by one or more Faculdade de Motricidade Humana teaching staff members in order to guarantee the uniformity and coordination of the different seminars within each of the Modules and also to embrace the administrative responsibilities. The Modules will be organized based on thematic seminars with a 4 or 8 hours’ time frame with the exception of Module 8. Each Module is thematically organized based on the type off content that will range from scientific support knowledge to practical intervention related awareness.

The type of class used on each module and the contact hours details are based on the Universidade de Lisboa guidance for A3ES submission purposes.

Clinics in football performance

Students will experience clinics in key areas of football coaching, enhancing their learning through an experience-based approach and problem-based learning methodologies.

Leadership & Communication

Students will be guided to discover their distinctly individual effective leadership style through self-discovery experiences. Securing empowering and proficient communication skills (players, media, public and stakeholders) is the central aim of this module.

From Game Analysis to On-field Team Organisation

Students will attend several seminars on topics related to the identification and development of elite players as cornerstones of sustainable business development in football. The key role currently played by coaches in this process will be explored.

The full picture of a season: Football periodization & training issues
