High Performance Football Coaching

Post-Graduation - 60 ECTS

Couse structure

This professional master programme is structured in 8 modules. Each module consists of an immersive procedure that is experienced in 4 consecutive and intensive days. Module contents are drilled progressively, from groundwork foundations to advanced professional competencies of football coaching.

Wholehearted emphasis on clear-cut teaching-learning methodologies will allow students to engage in a transformational experience that will profoundly change their perspectives and uniquely set apart their career skills.

Post-graduation

The post-graduation has a total of 60 ECTS.

Each of the Modules, from 1 to 8 will address different topics within a common structure. Each Module will be coordinated by José Mourinho and António Veloso.

Eligibility criteria & Entry requirements

Candidates must own a degree in sports sciences or equivalent or, alternatively, must own relevant professional experience on football coaching or related areas. Priority will be given to candidates joining all the following features:

Honours degree

Honours degree in sports sciences or equivalent

Professional experience

Relevant professional experience on football coaching

Qualified coach

Ideally, you must be a qualified coach with an award recognised by their national governing body, normally a UEFA B license or its equivalent

Good English

Good level of reading, listening and English speaking.

Documents needed

The documents needed to apply for the Post-Grad programme, must be in English
and all official documents must have an official translation
and they are:
  • Copy of your ID card or equivalent (Passport, …)
  • Copy of your Value Added Tax (VAT) number or equivalent document
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Prior Education Certificates (Sports Sciences degree, coaching license, etc.)
  • Motivation letter
  • Recommendation letter(s), if any
  • Personal signed letter attesting his proficiency in English (reading, listening and speaking)
  • Skype contact and mobile number (Interview and interview management) 

 

Assessment process

The selection of candidates will be performed using an assessment process that implies 3 different phases:

Application

All the applications must be submitted electronically. The administrative costs of the application implies a fee of €50 (non-refundable)

Pre-selection

Secondly, a pre-selection of the best 60 candidates will be ranked based on submitted documentation. 

Interview

Third, the admission board will schedule an online interview.

The 2nd and 3rd phase will open for students with exceptional CV
  • 1st Phase: 15 May till 15 July 2020 (selection due on 30 of July 2020)
  • 2nd Phase: 15 July till 15 September 2020 (selection due on the 30 of September 2020)
  • 3rd Phase: 16 September till 15 November 2020 (selection due on the 15 December 2020)
