José Augusto Paupério

I am a young man graduated in Sport’s Sciences by Faculdade de Desporto da Universidade do Porto, currently attending the Masters’ Degree – 2nd Cycle in High Performance Sport, with expected completion of the current stage due in October this year. Currently I am working as a youth level football coach at Escola Academia do Sporting – Alfena, Futebol Clube do Porto’s Under 20’s roller hockey team’s physical trainer and also a scouting member for Futebol Clube do Porto’s roller hockey team’s main squad. Furthermore I have as well performed duties for Sport Clube Freamunde’s football division scouting, a club performing in the Portuguese 2nd football league. All of these experiences have allowed me to further deepen my knowledge and affinity to the area of sports training, as well as to develop leadership, practice planning and practice skills.

It is with great self-motivation that I endeavor to overcome all the challenges that I propose myself to, always in great spirit of initiative, creativity and resilience, as I am not one to easily give up. I have been managing to climb gradually, step by step, in my sports career, willingly undertaking every opportunity which allows me to evolve as a trainer.

I recognize my application to this Master’s Degree as a huge step in my career, one which will allow me to learn and solidify my knowledge in football’s sport training area in order to attempt to gain entry into the world of professional football. The opportunity to learn from the best in the world in the area, and the knowledge they will transmit also arouses great interest in me to attend the said course.
