I started as a professional coach when I was twenty years old. All my life, all my identity was build up around the coaching, around the football.

Until five years ago I taked sabbatical year. It was a total shock, mentally.

From one year has increased by four years… because of the shock was so strong that I had to stop for a longer period of time. Why the shock? Because it was now for the first time really time to think and reflect about the things. And that’s what it I received  from the mirror, was not nice.

Now, after very hard hard conversations with the world and with itself, it’s time to go back to the football pitch. And I see that my spiritual home of football mind are Portugal and to be more spesific – in Lisbon University.

The place has saved my life (football life, football thinking. Can we separate this from “normal” life?) before.

To expand and open up my struggles and way of thinking (also motivation) little bit better, and to open my desire to come this course, I put it to english language (below) one of mine articles for our magazine about dilemma. And maybe even somekind of solution.
