Biography
I have a sports degree from Faculdade de Motricidade Humana (Faculty of Human Kinetics) since 2008, where football was my specific choice. After that, I complemented my training with UEF A B, at the Associação de Futebol de Setubal (Setubal Football Association) in 2009 and I’m looking forward to start the next UEF A A training at the Federação Portuguesa de Futebol (Portuguese Football Federation).
Currently, I am the under-14 coach of Sport Lisboa e Benfica SAD, a club that is allowing me to grow professionally since 2007. Along this path, I was an assistant coach until 2009 and became the head coach of the under-12 team, position I held for two seasons. During three seasons I led the under-13 teams and now I am on my second season leading the under-14 team.
In 2012 and 2013, I was invited to be a speaker in international coaching courses in the United States of America, organized by Norcal Premier Soccer.
I am very motivated to complete this new academic step in my life. The aim is to reach the master degree in High Performance Sports. Leadership and Communication, Game Analysis and Periodization in Football have always been important areas to me and in fact were the driving forces to apply to this Post-Graduation.
Besides that, it will allow me to contact with people from different learning/teaching backgrounds in football and will improve my abilities as a professional in this global market.
Therefore, I do believe that my background education and professional experience can properly fulfil the high demands of this degree. I aim for an exciting and challenging career and I am sure that this opportunity represents one more important step.
I am a quick learner and good at working within a team to overcome challenges and solve issues to enable project success. I am a good problem solver and I am able to plan and adjust my own activities. Additionally, my communication skills will facilitate the interactions with the other students enrolled in the same project.
