Alfred Johansson

Throughout my career as a football coach I have always valued education highly. Currently I’m
taking my bachelor degree in Sports Science at the Swedish School of Health and Sport Sciences in
Stockholm. When I first heard about your course I was immediately intrigued by its structure and
content. The possibility to gain a lot of theoretical knowledge and at the same time learn how to put
it into practice is something that makes me very excited. I’m especially interested in the opportunity
to discuss and share ideas about leadership and football with the competent lecturers and fellow
students.

My time in Djurgardens IF, Stockholm and F.C. Copenhagen has taught me a lot of things about
both leadership and football. In Djurgarden we had a strong collaboration with academy coaches of
Valencia C.F from whom I’ve learned a lot about building my own principles of the game and
design exercises from these. In F.C. Copenhagen I have continued to train my ability to create
exercises and on top of that I have developed my leadership.
