Biography
Anna Volossovitch is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Human Kinetics of the University of Lisbon since 1998. In the last years she published several chapters and papers in international peer-review journals and supervised several students in the field of game analysis.
Anna played handball at the national level in the USSR.
In 1991 she graduated with honours from the National State University of Physical Education and Sport of Ukraine, where she also got her Master degree in Sport Training in 1995.
From 1992 to 1995 Anna was an Assistant Professor of the Olympic Sports Department of this University, working under the direction of Professor Vladimir Platonov.
Then, from 1995 to 1997 she moved to the Russian State Academy of Physical Education in Moscow, where she held a researcher position.
Since 1998 Anna is living in Portugal and teaching at the University of Lisbon. Anna was invited as lecturer for various Coaching Courses of the Portuguese Handball Federation and other conferences and seminars in Sports Training. She also co-authored two textbooks of Handball.
In 2008 Anna got her PhD in Sport Sciences from the Technical University of Lisbon. Her main research interests rely in the field of performance analysis, learning process and expertise development in sport and, particularly, in sport games.
Anna’s works in game analysis has been presented in various international research and coaching forums.
