Biography

Rita Tomás is a Sports Medicine and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation doctor.

She has been collaborating with the Health and Performance Unit from the Portuguese Football Federation since 2011 and currently is the team physician of the Women’s Under-16 National Team.

She concluded with honors the International Olympic Committee Sports Medicine Diploma and holds a Master degree in Exercise and Health from the Faculty of Human Kinetics at the University of Lisbon.

She is also an Adjunct Professor at the Lisbon School of Health Technology of the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon.

Her areas of interest are sports injury prevention, rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions and physical activity promotion.
