Biography

Mohammed Bubshait has followed an unorthodox path into the field of football coaching. From a background in engineering and management, having managed in the oil & gas sector in Saudi Arabia, to moving into the field of sports marketing in Europe, Mohammed looks to combine his previous fields with his current field of interest, football coaching, to bring a different set of best practices and perspective into the field.

Through his interest in talent development, Mohammed has written a dissertation critiquing the Elite Player Performance Plan, the youth development programme being implemented in England today, as part of his MSc in Sports Management and the Business of Football. This opportunity has allowed him to delve deeper and study the various talent development programmes being implemented at the top academies and talent hubs across the world.

In search to expand his knowledge in the field of tactical analysis and football coaching, Mohammed has enrolled in the High Performance Football Coaching programme at the Faculty of Human Kinetics at the University of Lisbon, where his interests in the areas of tactical analysis, the concept of game models are being taught by the best in the field.

Knowledge acquisition is a continuous journey, and Mohammed looks to follow that path through experience in an elite football academy where he can learn and develop his own methods and ideas, before challenging himself by implementing his football ideas at an elite level, and helping in developing talent in his home country Saudi Arabia.
