Portuguese coaching education has interested me ever since I found the principles on tactical periodization. It was the first systematic approach that I encountered which aimed to educate players’ perceptual-cognitive abilities. In addition, the master program contains also impressively multifaceted focus on elite football.

The football education system in Portugal has always demonstrated great integration of coaching and sports science. Contacts and discussions with the staff of University of Lisbon have reinforced my positive impression. Taken together, I cannot think of better combination for my personal development.

My work within football industry has been focused on academy and youth level. Also, I have undertaken a wide range of different roles in varies environments. That has given me a broad understanding of the field. Through the skills to be gained from this program it would be possible for me to either aid my club to develop their academy program or take the next step to professional football.
